Information about the host

Waterside Holiday Park is a small park of static caravans open 50 weeks a year with restaurant and terrace, bar, entertainment, swimming pool, launderette, kids playground, mini supermarket, ample parking and walking distance to several beaches and amazing views of the steam train to Dartmouth! The park is clean, landscaped and friendly staff always available to assist with any queries you may have. Entertainment/swimming passes and clean bedding are all included in the price. Buses stop outside the park for buses to Brixham, Paignton, Torquay, Exeter, Plymouth and any of the 22 local beaches! The facilities (pool, restaurant, entertainment, etc.) are closed from November to February inclusive and the Park is closed with no bookings permitted in the last two weeks each February. The restaurant is open restricted hours through the off season period. There are takeaways and restaurants in the local area open all year and home delivery to the Park is possible at any time.

Torbay is also known as the English Riviera and has many attractions that will appeal to everyone, from a waterpark to cinema, funfair, crazy golf, museum, theatres, beaches, coastal walks, amusement arcades, steam train, pottery, zoo, big wheel, bars, restaurants, clubs, etc., etc. Or you can sit on a quiet beach with a good book. Some beaches are dog friendly all year round. Fireworks are often arranged. Parking - there is parking opposite Reception, then a larger carpark, and additional parking further up the road, all less than a minute from the caravan. I recommend you try further up on arrival as that is the closest to the caravan - there is a row of spaces on the left and the Park's maintenance store half way along and clearly signed. In between the larger carpark and the row on the left further up is a footpath on the left going towards an arched railway bridge used by the steam trains. The caravan is the 2nd one in called Trieste and has amazing views of the steam train from the lounge window. Walk under the bridge and you can follow the path left to Paignton, right to Brixham, or straight on to a picnic area and.... very private beaches undiscovered to many!
