Our cosy 3 bedroom spacious caravan is on a level site about a 10 minutes flat walk to the beach. He may be basic & robust but, like any country boy, there is a twinkle in his eye and an unexpected allure. The galley kitchen (If we have forgotten an essential gadget do let us know) opens onto the lounge / dining area (just re carpeted). The shower room is remarkably spacious and, joy of joy, there is a spare loo (very important when the family returns en masse). Amazed at having a third bedroom we made it up as a small double (really - who actually fits in a bed 2ft wide?) but please let us know if you would rather have it as tiny twin beds Pets are welcome - what holiday would be complete without them? The park has an indoor heated pool and a newly refurbished, family friendly clubhouse (we love the steam train theme). These are not open all year.
We try to meet our guests in person when they arrive and will be in touch before you arrive with directions. We are happy to answer any questions you have prior to your stay. We prefer to supply all bed linen & towels - which is less packing for you. The kitchen is fully equipped and WiFi is available.
Dawlish Warren still retains that traditional seaside resort feel. A simple bucket & spade holiday with pub meals, picnics and fresh air to relax in as well as plenty of things to do for those with a more energetic bent. It is a level, low lying walk or cycle from Dawlish Warren through Cockwood then Starcross (for the ferry to Exmouth) pass Powderham Castle and along the Exe Estuary into the ancient city of Exeter. The Knave is to be found in Dawlish Sands Caravan Park at the edge of Dawlish Warren (EX7 0PG). This seaside resort is at the end of a sandy spit at the mouth of the Exe Estuary. Please note that if you are looking for access to East Devon we are the wrong side of the river for you. The Booking con algorithm appears to be based on a large miscalculation crow with a blind spot for large water based geological features. Be wary of its prophecies - they get wilder the busy it becomes.
