This lovely holiday home on The Manor House Estate in Bawdsey provides a peaceful location for a family holiday and 80 acres of park and farmland to explore. There is a shared, heated outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court and the barn is close to the coast and River Deben estuary.
You may feel that with the facilities on offer at The Meadows Dairy and the fantastic walking in the immediate area that you don't want to venture far. The Manor House Estate sits within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and beyond the 80 acres of parkland there is beautiful countryside to explore including along the River Deben and the mouth of the river at Bawdsey Quay. From here you might chose to take the passenger ferry across the river to Old Felixstowe or head along the coast towards Shingle Street. Heading up river you will find The Ramsholt Arms which is a good stopping point for something to eat. If you continue along the river path you will reach Sutton Hoo and the busy market town of Woodbridge, which is on the far bank. Just down the road from The Manor House Estate, Bawdsey Manor was used as a RAF base to develop radar and was part of the early warning defences during World War II and the Cold War.
