New Inn Brilley

Situated in rural Herefordshire and less than a mile from the Welsh border, New Inn Brilley is an 18th Century stone house set amongst extensive grounds, which feature a stream. Free Wi-Fi and free private parking are available.

New Inn Brilley features stunning views of the Black Mountains, the Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons National Park, as well as offering a choice of guest bedrooms and a self-catering suite. Guests can also take advantage of the on-site meditation hall.

The suite features a kitchen equipped with an oil-fired Rayburn, 1 double bedroom and 2 single beds on the large landing. Downstairs is the bathroom, the living room with a wood-burning stove and the kitchen.

The property is set amongst truly stunning rural surroundings. The Black Mountains are within 15 miles and the Brecon Beacons can be reached in less than 30 minutes by car. The nearest city is Hereford, less than 20 miles away and featuring its own train station.

Hay-on-Wye, with its many cafes, bookshops, antique stores and restaurants, can be reached in 5 miles. .

Peace and quiet dominates these surroundings, this property has kept it's old style and furnishings wherever possible, do not expect any modern additions, you really have to be a lover of the by gone days to be able to appreciate. The rooms upstairs is under eves so with restricted head space on sides of the room.

I absolutely love what I do, and I love the nature that surrounds this area in particular, it is a beautiful unspoilt part of the country. I also love the old, authentic, these old walls dating back to the 17th 16th century that you easily find in these parts, is particularly precious to me. So when I say these are old buildings come with the chip on the sink.... I choose not to renovate to how they do now days, because I feel it looses its character, I am fine with the chip on the sink. If you are looking for the perfectly square and neat interior then this is definitely NOT for you... we provide clean iron sheets, and all is perfectly cleaned before each time we receive our new guests, no doubt about that. I love all animals, in fact dogs are welcome, with additional of a small cleaning fee, we have poultry on the grounds, our own cats and dog, though cats are indoor cats.
