Riverside Barn is a welcoming cottage in the village of Gilwern in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The cottage has a spacious room on the first floor which can be offered as a double or a twin, while on the ground floor are two double rooms, a bathroom, small games room with pool table and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for three cars, shared use of the owners' lawned garden with patio and furniture, and a shared paddock, ideal for ball games. There is also free fishing available at the river just 300m from the property (please bring own equipment and fishing licence). Riverside Barn is set within the Brecon Beacons National Park and makes an ideal base for exploring this wonderful area. Note: Max 6 people including infants
The picturesque village of Gilwern, situated amidst the Brecon Beacons National Park, offers visitors many amenities including traditional pubs, shops and a great fish and chip shop. Covering approximately 520 square miles, the National Park surrounds the village providing excellent walking, cycling and bird watching as well as great salmon and trout fishing on the river Usk. Abergavenny, the aptly named Gateway to Wales is nestled in the nearby hills and has something for everyone. With its many indoor and outdoor markets, magnificent castle and museums this medieval market town is sure to delight any visitor. Offering fantastic walks for all abilities as well as its own vineyard, the nearby mountain of Sugarloaf is well worth visiting. No matter what time of year, this wonderful little village has something in the area to suit all tastes and budgets.
