The Mountain Church is an amazing self-catering house set in the perfect location for a special occasion. With unique charm and fascinating features, guests can sleep beneath a carved stone pulpit, play table tennis beneath a glorious 19th-century mosaic ceiling, and relax in a hot tub under the stars. And all with lovely views of Snowdonia's mountains from every window…

Our family bought the church twenty-five years ago and have been welcoming guests ever since. We will provide you with plenty of information about the wonderful hikes, hidden lakes, best restaurants, music nights, and fun activities to make your stay extra special. The conversion story of the church was a rollercoaster ride through planning regulations, builders, and family dramas that were documented in a fortnightly Sunday Times column between 2003 and 2006. We live next door in Vestry Cottage and so can easily meet you on arrival, but leave you alone after that - however, we are on hand 24/7 if you need anything or have any questions! We want you to have a wonderful stay.

We have so much to do on the doorstep such as climbing, hiking, fishing, kayaking, wild swimming, horse riding and canyoning. If you’d like more information I can send details and links to the right websites. The National Mountaineering Centre, Plas y Brenin, is only a few hundred meters from the church and they run outdoor courses. You can also rent kit from their store, and have taster days which include kayaking, climbing and mountain biking. If you want to go up mountains or on hikes then I can send route descriptions or recommendations. We also have activity providers nearby including EBike Adventures Snowdonia. One of my favourites activities is the Go Below caving challenge which is a full and incredibly exhilarating day. The three ZipWorld sites are nearby which includes the fastest zip wire in the world which is only 8 miles away or the Fforest coaster. Another attraction is Adventure Park Snowdonia which includes the world's first inland surfing lagoon and lots of other great things to do and also Bounce Below is fun with huge trampolines in underground caverns.
