Situated in the heart of Norfolk Broads is the rural village of Ludham. Surrounded on 3 sides by the rivers Ant, Bure and Thurne and its own small broad, Womack Water with its moored boats and small shops, it is a lovely, picturesque place. At the centre of the village is the crossroads, near to the beautiful thatched church of St Catherines and several pretty thatched cottages, the local pub, village store, butchers and tea rooms. To the north west of the village is How Hill Nature Reserve with nature trails and a museum of a marshman life in Toad Hole Cottage. The village offers a good range of footpaths with plenty of wildlife to see. In summer the beach at Sea Palling is a hub of activity with jet skiiers and the sand dunes of Winterton-on-Sea offer secluded sun traps perfect for relaxing. Spend a day exploring the broads in one of the sailboats and river cruisers which can be hire from Hunters Yard in Ludham. The traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth is just a short drive away and offers plenty of attractions and family fun.
