The family have long time ties with Lyndale which run back to the 1920's when the family arrived as Farm Workers. Lyndale holds a special magic that get's a hold of your heart and with much work the family acquired the hill farm in the 1970's and earlier this year (2017) we acquired the northern part of the farm putting the original farm back together. We hope you'll grow to love the place as much as we do.
The cottages are within the old courtyard of Lyndale Farm in the heart of the farm some 200 meters from the sea and offers stunning coastal scenic walks around the ‘point'. The sunsets are awesome with the sun setting over the Waternish peninsula in April/May and slowly working it's way towards the Western Isles. Lyndale abounds with wildlife, otters are regularly spotted on the shore, seals at the ‘point’ Sea Eagles and Golden Eagles are sighted regularly as are Sparrow Hawks and Buzzards and a host of sea birds. Deer, foxes and rabbits, can you spot the little black one? The flora and fauna is diverse. The snowdrops and bluebells in the spring woods! The shore is well worth an explore. History also abounds with Dun Suladale an Pictish Broch situated on the farm the panoramic views encompassing the Cuillin, Duncann on Rassay, the Trotternish Ridge, Waternish peninsula, and the Outer Isles, are well worth the walk and a smaller Broch situated at a lower level also on the farm more information about the broch can be found online at aocarchaeology There are also two fresh water lochs.
