Chaffinch Cottage is a high quality, individual, self-catering cottage having an open plan kitchen/diner & lounge with log fire giving it a genuine home from home feel. Each bedroom has its own en-suite. It is fully equipped with TV's, DVD's, WiFi & I-pod dock. An excellent child friendly site in the midst of the countryside with a large indoor heated swimming pool, games room with pool table, table tennis and table football plus play equipment for younger children, in addition there is a large outdoor children’s play area and communal barbeque. With beaches and moors nearby it is a perfect spot for everyone. The cottage is set in the lush green pastures of South Devon, midway between Totnes and Newton Abbot.
Hi, we hope you like Chaffinch Cottage as much as we do. The location is absolutely beautiful with long distance views over the South Hams. It has such a relaxing, friendly and safe atmosphere about it. Each one of the 9 cottages at the Newhouse Barton site is owned individually and we think it is this that gives it that homely, well cared for feeling. We all want our guests to enjoy their stay
There are so many things for children to do in South Devon, Crealy & Woodlands Adventure Parks, Pennywell Farm, Buckfast Butterfly & Otter Sanctuary, Plymouth Aquarium & ski centre, Paignton Zoo, Kent's caverns to name but a few. The nearby towns of Totnes, Torquay, Paignton, Brixham offer beaches, water sports, sea fronts, harbours, restaurants, nightlife, shops. Other places well worth a visit include Dartmouth with its busy harbour, castle, upmarket shops and galleries, and Teignmouth, an attractive seaside town with a promenade, sandy beach and pier. The national trust owned summer home of Agatha Christie is just a few miles away as well as the D'oly Cart family home in Coleton Fishachre, both beautiful houses with lovely grounds.
