Our dog friendly Gypsy Caravan is situated at the heart of the tranquil Rum Bridge lake and glamping complex, just outside the historic market town of Clare. Adjacent to Hazels (our dog friendly dog pod) and close to three intimate, reed fringed fishing ponds, Gypsy Caravan “Rose” sleeps 2-3 plus up to two small well-behaved dogs, with Hazels (and other nearby bell tents and glamping pods) accommodating larger family groups if required. Conveniently sited close to communal toilets, showers and a small ‘field kitchen’, the caravan benefits from outdoor seating and barbecue area, and is equipped with a metered electrical supply, 6amp 3pin (and USB) sockets, panel heater and lighting. The right choice for anglers, birders, walkers… in fact, anyone seeking a re-energising short-break in splendid offgrid isolation… Rose is conveniently located close to the three lakes, flush toilets, shower, and a washing up / food preparation area (with hot and cold water). Nearby Carol’s Kitchen offers hot and cold snacks and meals throughout the day. And a takeaway food delivery service is available, seven evenings a week.
Rum Bridge is situated on the outskirts of the historic market town of Clare, Suffolk, within easy driving distance of Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, and the Suffolk coast. The town itself is home to a wealth of shops, cafes, pubs and eateries, as well as a 13th century Augustinian Priory, Clare Country Park, the stone keep ruins of Clare Castle, a medieval church and museum.
