Information about the host

Brayne Court is a beautiful, historic house we are proud to call our home. We have lived in Brayne Court for 26 years and our 2 daughters have grown up playing hide and seek in it's many rooms and passages. We consider ourselves custodians of this amazing property and love to share it with our guests. There are many stories about ghosts who inhabit Brayne Court but we find it a very warm and welcoming home, as do our many guests.

We are Nigel and Jan Greenhalgh and have chosen to open our home as a B and B since we retired. We love the history of our home and the surrounding countryside and enjoy sharing it with our guests. Jan trained as a beauty and holistic therapist in retirement and there is a treatment suite at Brayne court where gusts can book in. We have 2 daughters who are both married and live nearby so we enjoy spending time with them and our adorable grandsons, Christopher and Daniel.

The Forest of Dean is a beautiful area , whatever the season. In spring we have the daffodils and then wonderful bluebells and fabulous autumn colours. Littledean is home to the famous 'Crime through Time museum which many of our guests visit. There are attractions nearby for all ages and fitness levels eg, Puzzle Wood where parts of Star Wars were filmed, Go Ape, Pedal away cycles and 2 stream railways.
