John and I own Border Holiday Homes and have been involved in tourism for many years. during our careers we have owned hotels, pubs and holiday cottages. Our experience helps us to provide the highest standards in our six properties. We love music and walking and good food and dining out. John plays violin, piano and also composes music . We love to support micro breweries,(like our local Tempest brewery) and enjoy drinking real or cask ales, having been judges at national beer festivals. This charming mid terrace cottage in is in centre of a quiet conservation village. It has lots of character details including beamed ceilings and a castiron decorative spiral staircase. The tiny courtyard garden is a real sun trap. It is a perfect cottage for one or two guests with or without a dog. The village is on the edge of the stunning Cheviot Hills and there are many dedicated walks such as St. Cuthberts Way and Scotlands National Trail. Cycle on quiet roads or just use the cottage as a base to find out about your Ancestry

Visit Morebattle's award winning butcher and buy food for a meal or bbq. All the meat is from local farms. Pop into Kelso and have a pint at Rutherfords, micropub in the Square and make time to visit Floors Castle. Abbotsford near Galashiels The Teviot Smokery about 3 miles from the village offers tasty lunches with smoked products available, and has a great craft store. Morebattle is on the edge of Northumberlands National Park so exploring that area by car or foot is a must.
