Atlantic Lodge is located in the tranquil village of Hope Cove. The bungalow sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, one en suite shower room, a family bathroom and an additional w.c. In the property there is a kitchen, open plan lounge/dining room with fireplace, and beautiful uninterrupted sea views. Outside the property is a driveway to park three cars and a small boat, two terraces and a sheltered ‘pod’. In central Hope Cove, with its great eateries, bar and unspoilt beaches, this is a smashing base for an extended family staycation. No pets permitted. All bed linen and towels are supplied. You will need to bring your own beach towels and tea towels. Payphone available at property.
The picturesque fishing village of Hope Cove lies in a sheltered bay on South Devon’s coastline, offering superb views over Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island. A choice destination for families, two beaches offer soft sand for sandcastle building, plus rock pools great for entertaining children. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants, including the popular café bar ‘The Cove’. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards the sandy beaches of Thurlestone and Bigbury-on-Sea in one direction, and the sailing town of Salcombe in the other.
