Arundell Arms

With an AA 2 Rosette restaurant and 20 miles of exclusive fishing rights, the Arundell Arms is a premier country hotel. It offers luxurious accommodation and has won many awards in recent years. Free WiFi is available throughout.

The head chef, Steve Pigeon, is one of only 80 Master Chefs of Great Britain. The restaurant serves modern British cuisine and traditional puddings. There are 3 venues in which to eat at the hotel. There is the restaurant with its high ceiling and traditional ambiance, the brasserie for relaxed dining near the open log fire or at the Lifton Courthouse Bar. The bar offers a warm atmosphere, traditional pub food, and locally brewed ales. All eateries serve freshly cooked, locally sourced food reflecting the best of the season.

The bedrooms are decorated in a country house style with antique furniture. All rooms have en suite bathrooms with baths, power showers and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Many have garden views.

The hotel offers fishing on the Tamar River and its tributaries. Wild brown trout, salmon and sea trout are available in season and experts are on hand who run courses and offer advice. Shooting parties with dogs are accommodated from October to January.

Dartmoor National Park and Okehampton are 20 minutes’ drive away. Launceston town centre is 5 minutes from the hotel.
